Barbie Spring & Easter Social Campaigns


Mattel commissioned me to develop creative concepts for Barbie’s spring and Easter paid social campaigns. Highlighting the surprise and sensory aspects of many of the featured products, we proceeded with a series of mix-and-match vignettes of magic moments incorporating stop motion with live actors and native social video trends to create engaging, unexpected, and playful surprises. While more stylized and fantastical than conventional social content, the visual magic ensured that the videos would be memorable and stand out from competitors’ ads. The messaging ties into Barbie’s overall Limitless Possibilities campaign.

These videos were optimized for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok to target parents and other gifters seeking high value, accessible, and relevant gifts that offer endless imaginative play for young girls.
